Desert Arts Festival

Held in Downtown Palm Springs, the Desert Arts Festival showcases the work of more than a hundred different artists. Visitors will be able to see some truly fascinating creations which include paintings, stained glass works, turned wood, blown glass, semi-precious jewelry, and other crafts.

CareerBuilder Challenge

The CareerBuilder Challenge, formerly known as the Humana Challenge and the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, is held in La Quinta every January. It is one of the PGA Tour’s most valued professional golf tournaments, and a huge fan favorite. The event draws in golf fans from around the world to watch celebrities and golf professionals play against each other.

The Palm Springs International Film Festival

The Palm Springs International Film Festival is dedicated to showcasing the work of exceptional, new and emerging talents as well as the celebrated work of established directors. The festival provides an industry-friendly launch pad for new films and filmmakers, combining the best aspects of a casual film marketplace with its well- established reputation as a great audience festival that filmmakers love to attend.

Palm Springs Modern Week

Modernism Week’s signature February Event is an annual celebration of midcentury modern design, architecture, art, fashion and culture. This exciting festival takes place in February in the Palm Springs area of Southern California. Modernism Week features more than 250 events including the Modernism Show & Sale, Signature Home Tours, films, lectures, Premier Double Decker Architectural Bus Tours, nightly parties and live music, walking and bike tours, tours of Sunnylands, fashion, classic cars, modern garden tours, a vintage travel trailer exhibition, and more.

Modernism Week is also a charitable organization, providing scholarships to local students pursuing college educations in the fields of architecture and design; as well as supporting local and state preservation organizations and neighborhood groups in their efforts to preserve modernist architecture throughout the state of California.

BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament – Indian Wells

The BNP Paribas Open is a two-week combined ATP World Tour Masters 1000 and WTA Premier event featuring the top men and women professional players competing in a 96 singles draw and 32 doubles draw. The event is hosted at the magnificent Indian Wells Tennis Garden, located in the beautiful Southern California desert. The 2015 event welcomed a record breaking 456,672 fans to the newly expanded Indian Wells Tennis Garden for two weeks of world-class tennis.

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is one of the reasons why the Coachella Valley is famous all throughout the world. Started in 1993, this annual festival is among the largest, most popular music festivals in the planet, and is quite possibly included in every music lover’s bucket list. For two weekends in April, festivalgoers are treated to live performances from some of today’s hottest bands and artists, as well as promising up-and-comers and reunited bands.

Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week

The Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week is a ten-day celebration of the Coachella Valley’s fine local cuisine. The event features over 100 restaurants from Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Indio, and other areas in the valley. Each participating establishment offers exclusive deals as well as a special three-course menu.

Golf Cart Parade

Because of its status as one of the country’s most-visited golfing destinations, the Coachella Valley hosts a Golf Cart Parade in Palm Desert – a fun-filled affair along El Paseo with celebrities, marching bands, live performers, and decorated electric golf carts.

Indio International Tamale Festival

The Indio International Tamale Festival is a free, two-day festival that features live music, contests, family-friendly activities, and of course – nearly every type of tamale dish you can imagine. This unique festival was recently included in the Food Network-TV’s top 10 All-American Food Festivals.

Festival of Lights Parade – Palm Springs

The Festival of Lights Parade takes place the first weekend in December and has quickly become one of Palm Springs’ most beloved traditions, attracting over 80,000 people to downtown Palm Springs each year. Over the past 20 years, the parade has featured a variety of marching bands and entertainment, as well as the Budweiser Clydesdales, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Snoopy and the Gang – and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus!
